Solemnity of Saint Joseph

Every year on March 19, the universal church celebrates the Solemnity of Saint Joseph. Traditionally, the entire month of March is dedicated to Saint Joseph. Although Saint Joseph is silent throughout the Bible, he has played a unique role through his fully dedicated service and sacrifice to the Holy Family, and thus, to the history of salvation. In the Catholic Diocese of Macau, there are many schools and institutions that are named after Saint Joseph, including the Saint Joseph's Seminary, The University of Saint Joseph, Colégio Diocesano de São José, Saint Joseph's Retreat House and The Saint Joseph the Worker’s Church.
